AGFA PACS User Group 
2002 Business Meeting

The business meeting of APUG was held in conjunction with the SCAR 2002 meeting in Cleveland, at the Renaissance Hotel, May 1, 2002.

The lunch meeting was called to order at 1:10 p.m. by Patricia Whelan, Chair of APUG, The minutes of the previous meeting were approved and a brief financial report was given (see attached).

Ms. Whelan then announced that her term as Chair was ending and expressed appreciation for all the support she has received during her term. She introduced the three candidates nominated to fill the Chair position:

• Matthew D. Ralston, MD, Chief PACS Radiologist,
  Maine Medical Center

• Charles E. Willis, PhD, PACS Coordinator, Texas Children's Hospital

• J. Raymond Geis, MD, Medical Director, PACS, Poudre Valley Hospital

Each candidate spoke briefly about his ideas for the coming years if elected the next Chair. APUG members were asked to vote by written ballot. The new Chair would be announced by the close of the APUG educational meeting.

Dr. Katherine Andriole thanked outgoing chairperson Pat Whelan and presented a plaque to her for her contributions to help mature the society. Dr. Andriole also presented Dr. David Avrin, who was not in attendance at the meeting, a plaque in appreciation of his efforts in establishing APUG and being the first chairperson of the user group.

The lunch meeting was adjourned at 2:00.
